Organizing Product for Your Scrapbook Projects

Scrapbooking has become an entire industry in recent years with supplies and tools that do everything from die-cutting to stamping. There are so many pieces, big and small, and it’s important to keep things sorted and categorized.

One product I really like is this stackable paper tray which protects the paper and also provides an extremely neat display. The trays have a “lipless” design - you can pull any sheet of paper from a tray, even from the bottom, without disturbing the entire stack. And of course, it reduces clutter and increases your scrapbooking productivity!

Help a Charity by Donating Your Old Electronics

Get Hitched Give Hope is a local non-profit group started by businesses in the Seattle area who specialize in the wedding and bridal industry. They host an annual event to raise funds to grant wishes for breast cancer patients. This year, they are partnering with BuyMyTronics to help reduce and recycle electronic clutter and raise money!

I’ve talked about this specific organizing challenge many times - and here is a great way to get rid of that old cell phone or laptop that is gathering dust in the closet at work or home. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to donate any gadget you’re not using anymore and feel good about it, too.

To make it even easier, Innovatively Organized will act as a collection agent, so just get ready to hand over that old cell phone, computer or video game when we see you!  Or contact us to have us pick it up or schedule time to drop it off with us.  They won’t be collecting forever so contact us SOON!

Keep Clutter Off the Bathroom Floor

There is no excuse for towels to be on the floor or bath accessories to be scattered in the tub with this innovative organizing product. And the best part is that no tools or hardware are needed for installation.

The Everloc system uses suction cups with a special silicon ring that adheres to the surface and creates an airtight seal. That means no more washcloths or back scrubbers perched precariously on the tub ledge or on the counter top!

Stay Organized When Traveling by Car

For many people taking vacations this year, it means traveling by highway instead of by air. Make sure to keep the inside of your car neat and organized so you can arrive at your destination with only fun and relaxation in mind. I recently read an article from Martha Stewart offering some really great organizing tips for the trunk of your car.

  • Lighten your carload by arranging supplies in a handled bin.
  • Items kept in the car have a tendency to roll around and get lost beneath seats, so it helps to organize them in a heavy vinyl catchall.
  • Stock it with paper towels, first-aid kit, auto fire extinguisher, duct tape, flat-repair kit, bungee cords, and a bag filled with flares, jumper cables, and other necessities.
  • Also consider packing a messenger bag with bottled water, granola bars, a blanket, and warm clothing, in case of a breakdown.

Waiting in line, on the bus, in between meetings - if you’re on-the-go but still want to maximize your time, the iPhone is a great mobile tool. It supports an abundant number of applications, and I recently discovered that you can view the latest Mary Kay® products online and actually flip through the Mary Kay catalog on your iPhone!

Very illuminating going over my weekly review checklist and realizing that the parts of the work I dread doing are the things I don’t have systems and structure for… I can see already that this is going to be a big help, and wish I’d gotten started sooner! I’m feeling optimistic, and looking forward to solving the problem(s) and getting my time more focused on the patient work I love to do!Dr. Deborah E., ND
For large, time-consuming tasks, break them down into smaller sub-tasks and spread them out over the day or week.
If you can respond to an email in 2 minutes or less, tackle it now.
I loved your presentation of Email Organizing 101. The presentation was clear and informative, and you offered wonderful tips to make our busy lives easier. I already implemented some of your recommendations, and have no remaining emails at the end of the day in my inbox. Also, you have a great sense of humor, so like everyone else, I truly enjoyed my time there. Time and money well-spent.Jennifer S., Merrill Lynch
IO has changed my whole perspective on being organized. You guys rock.Amy T., Blueflame Heating & Air Conditioning
Create a system for processing business cards you receive. Try delegating the data entry portion of the task to an assistant or intern.
Use unexpected free time wisely – while waiting in line or sitting in traffic, have a list of things you can do then.
